At first glimpse these dead branches looked dull, dry, grey and messy, suitable perhaps only for fire wood. At second glimse, contrasted against the red lichen on a granite rock, the branches appeared to form an intriguing abstract pattern set against beautiful warm tones. The difference between the first glimpse and the second glimpse, was the difference between looking and seeing.
