About Thomas Folke Andersen Photography
Thomas Folke Andersen is an award winning fine art photographer born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1974.
Thomas grew up in a small suburb outside Copenhagen and has since lived in the USA (Greensboro, North Carolina) and Hong Kong until he immigrated to Sydney, Australia in 2001 where he lives today with his wife and two daughters.
His love of photography began in 2003 when he picked up a Canon 50 EOS film SLR camera and decided to figure out ‘what all those buttons and dials could do’. This decision was the beginning of a creative journey into the wonderful world of photography.
Thomas particularly enjoys exploring the elements of design, balance and composition in his photography and also has an affinity for using his camera to abstract reality. He finds the blend of technique and creativity fascinating, sometimes frustrating, other times rewarding but always very therapeutic.
Thomas is also the editor and publisher of Photography 24/7.
P.S. Yes, I did write this about myself in third person which I don't really like very much, but the reason is simply a practical one; it makes it a lot easier for people who need my bio to just 'cut and paste' instead of having to re-write it.
