PERSONAL PROJECTS: AUGUST SNAPS

In August 2009 I decided to carry my compact Canon G9 with me every day with the intention to make daily images for a month.

This project was never a quest to make master pieces, but rather a quest to get my creative juices flowing and to give my vision some exercise.

I didn't want to restrict myself to any particu theme, but left my options completely open in regards to subject matter. My only goal was to create images with some sort of visual interest.

When I encountered these beautiful Magnolia flowers I was transfixed into a world of whimpsical beauty as I made a series of different movement exposures using long shutter speeds.I was so pleased with this series of exposures that I created a spin-off series of six images which I have made available as fine art canvas prints in limited size editions.To view the series of images and for more details click 'Fine Art For Sale' in the menu on the left and select 'Magnolia Angels'.
