Prints
Investing in art is a unique proposition as it doesn't afford you the liquidity of more traditional markets, making short-term gains relatively rare. Most artists need to ‘mature’ for their works to go up in value and this usually takes some time.
Therefore your main reason for buying my prints (or any art piece) should always be driven by an aesthetic appreciation for the pieces themselves rather than for financial gain.
In other words you buy a piece so you can put it on your wall to enjoy for the next many years to come. In the meantime chances are that I have ‘matured’ as an artist, my work get more sought after and your piece increases in value.
If not, well, then you still have a picture you enjoy looking at and you haven’t lost anything.
Limited Editions
Most of my prints are limited to an edition of 30 (some editions are smaller, but editions are never larger than 30). Once an edition is sold out, the negative or digital file is "retired" and will undergo no further printing, with the exception of published book work.
All images are individually printed by me (unless otherwise indicated) with genuine Epson Ultrachrome inks on archival, acid free, fine art paper.All prints get sprayed with a premium archival-safe matte varnish which greatly enhances the life of digital photos, providing a clear water and UV-resistant surface.
Prints are titled, signed and numbered in pencil au verso.
Mini Series
The mini series are smaller series of images (typically six different images) which are offered in limited editions.
The thought behind the mini series is to provide people who wants to own original art with the possibility of collecting a whole series of limited edition prints within an affordable price range.
From a value perspective an entire series of original prints will typically be worth more over time as a complete series than they will as individual prints.
The mini series puts most people within reach of owning a whole series of original limited edition photographs.
