Vikingeborgen Borgring

The existing viking castle ruin “Borgring” complex is a fascinating, geometrically precise circular structure - a circular cross - situated on a slope descending toward Køge Å. Its strict, symmetrical form stands in contrast to the surrounding soft landscape.

The new experience center is positioned as a simple rectangular building, clad in burnt wood and topped with a distinctive, striking roof. The building clearly references the Vikings' simple longhouse architecture, characterized by dominant roof structures.
